I'm not a big gamer, although I have been kickin' it with upscaled versions of Rock Band and Katamari Damacy from iPhone on the iPad with decent results. I'm mostly gonna stick to ebook/reading-related iPad content on this blog, though. As for Cory, I love the man dearly, and usually agree with most of what he says. This, however, is not one of those times—I agree with Joel Johnson, and his rebuttal here.

Great post! Love to hear some thoughts on gaming on the device. Everything I’ve heard about that aspect has been intriguing and my iPod Touch is currently my favorite/most used gaming platform.

For an alternate view, have you read Doctorow’s views on the Marvel app on Boing Boing?

Great post and looking forward to all the #nerdtastic updates.

I feel like anyone who’s still complaining about LCD eyestrain needs to take a drop of Visine and chase it with a drop of STFU. Not really sure why people are comfortable reading blogs, news, sites, working, all day but the second you mention ‘reading’ on a LCD, they go batsh*t.

Also, I just ordered mine and was a little nervous about not waiting for 2nd version. But here’s why it makes sense: we are content creators and publishers. If we are not familiar with every device where our authors’ content is available, then we’re not in touch with our audience.
